A this person sign popped up in my Facebook feed today so I thought that I would make one of my own. Feel free to grab it to use on Facebook or Twitter. Help change Rheumatoid Arthritis to Rheumatoid Autoimmune Disease and help other patients find Rheumatoid Patient Foundation.

It is time for a change and we need your help. Rheumatoid Arthritis has been around for a very long time, but the funding for research and better patient care has been lacking for years. Only a few days away from my birthday and the $1010 I raised with my birthday wish is a very small start, but today I decided to ask for more. I have set a new goal of $1500 in donations to Rheumatoid Patient Foundation after watching this RA Is Not “arthritis” – A PSA about Rheumatoid Arthritis video again. It was a reminder of how much Rheumatoid Autoimmune Disease (our new name for it, since it is not just “arthritis”) has lacked in research funding. Current research for Multiple Sclerosis or Lupus is around $330 per patient, but less than $26 per patient with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
My birthday wish came true! We are currently at $1010 in donations to Rheumatoid Patient Foundation. Thank you to all the donors that have given me this wonderful present and my sidekick for always helping me out. I still have 8 days to go, would it be to much to ask for more? If you want to give me a wonderful birthday present, please donate to my Birthday Wish for Rheumatoid Patient Foundation.
For the image above I took a screenshot of my causes birthday wish webpage, then cropped it in Adobe Photoshop.
