This week is American Craft Beer week and I have been enjoying each evening so far this week! Yesterday we went to the Select Beer Store and the Redondo Beach Brewing Company. At Select Beer Store I was able to enjoy three samples of dark beers they had on tap. This photo is of those three dark beers. First dark beer is the Strand Batch 100 Stout, second was the Smog City Ground Works Coffee Porter and the last one was Monkis Anomaly. I enjoyed each one of these but I think my favorite was the Strand Batch 100 Stout, yum.
So finally I have a new category for this blog, Beer & Wine! This week has been fun so far and I am sure I will be enjoying the entire week.
I took this photo with my Motorola Xoom and edited it with Google Picasa.
Edit: Select Beer Store is located at 1613 South Pacific Coast Highway Redondo Beach, California

I found this Blueberry Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole recipe through Pinterest. It looked yummy and Lloyd expressed he was interested in trying this one; so I made it for dinner this past Sunday evening. I did not follow the recipe exactly. I cut it down to 1/3 since the serving size was for 8-10 and there is only two of us. I changed the french bread to multigrain. I also did not soak overnight, since I was using softer bread. The thing I would change the next time is the amount of cream cheese, I think I used 5 ounces and will try 2-3 next time.
This week one of my friends in Indiana has been posting her photos of butterflies and flowers on Facebook. This made me miss being able to hold my camera more but I love getting to see her photos. The other day while I was at the kitchen sink I noticed little birds landing in the bush right outside the window. So I snuck Lloyd’s Canon Rebel T1i camera which has the heavier Sigma lens on it and took a few shots. These birds are fast, but I had a few come out great. So here is the photo of the bird in the bush.
I was in an artsy mood so I used Google Picasa to adjust the photo. Then I used Adobe Photoshop to re-size the photo and add the geekgoodgirl.com watermark.
