Grilled Artichokes

Today we ate vegetables for dinner. I was going to say that is a first, but with Rheumatoid Autoimmune Disease I have just had a salad or nothing at all. But today it was planned to just have vegetables for dinner and it was really good.  I could not imagine choosing not to eat any meat for a day, it seems so strange. I guess the meat was the heart of the artichoke. We also had sweet peppers, mushrooms and asparagus. We used a garlic and olive oil mix on them all. It was really yummy.

I took the photo with my Android Motorola Xoom and did the editing with Google Picasa. I use the HDR-ish style, some shadow and added geekgoodgirl.com on the corner.

New Islands Restaurant Open

Bacon Cheeseburger and fries from Islands Restraunt

Bacon Cheeseburger and fries from Islands Restraunt Redondo Beach, California.

On December 20th, 2011 the Islands Restaurant opened on Hawthorne Boulevard, Redondo Beach. So we went over for their opening and shared some food. Here is a photo of the Bacon Cheeseburger and fries. Lloyd was surprised to find they brew their own beer.

It may not of been our healthiest meal, but we did enjoyed the walk there and the company of each other. It will be a good place if we want to share a plate of food, beer and get in a nice walk.

Cutting Of The Carrot Cake

Finally we can cut the Carrot Cake for Lloyd’s Birthday. The photo below was taken when we prepared the cake for Lloyd. See video for photos of the carrot cake after it was finally cut to serve. It was yummy!
