Day 58 of Project 365. After weeks of a mild Rheumatoid Arthritis flare I needed a day out with the camera and a friend. So we met up at Roger Lakewood Park in Valparaiso, Indiana to get some great photos of the snow on the trees. I made it there before her and grabbed my Canon Rebel to take a snapshot at the gate when I discovered I left my battery at home on the charger. DUH! I turned right around, headed out the gate and passed my friend on the road. So I gave her a quick call to let her know why I was going the wrong way and told her I would be back in about 20 minutes, which in Tanya time is 30.
Finally, I made it home and ran over to the charger to discover the power strip I plugged it into had pulled out of the outlet so it wasn’t even charging! GREAT. So I headed over to my backpack to grab my spare battery when I discovered it was not there. I stood there thinking for a couple minutes and finally realized it was in my purse still from when we went to get photos of ice sculptures in downtown Valpo. I drove all the way home and I had a battery in my purse GEEEEEZ.
My friend took some wonderful photos of me at the park when I finally made it there
. This one was me sinking into the foot and a half of snow I was standing on while she was getting pictures, definitely the picture of my day!
